Dear PALS and Caregivers,

It is a well-established fact that PALS have digestive issues as they lose weight and cannot regain it.  Doctors recommend that they eat a very high carb diet to maintain weight.  However, high grain and sugar diets create inflammation and fungus.

Here are three things to consider in helping improve digestive health.

1. The first is probiotics.  We recently found an amazing probiotic that seems to have reversed Kim’s digestive issues.  Over the last 9 years he was able to gain back some weight and then sometimes would lose it again.  About a year ago, we tried the probiotics by Jigsaw Health.  We purchased one bottle and it helped both of us and I still have some left.  Here is a short video about the value of the Jigsaw Heath probiotic and then a link to the product should you be interested in purchasing it.

What we have noticed recently for Kim is that he is gaining weight in his mid-section and upper legs which is the past have been very thin.  He has noted just recently that he is about 195#, the first time he has hit that number in 9 years.  We are still eating the same as we have been the last several years.

2. The second item is our cleaning supplies.
I knew we needed to get rid of all the chemical cleaners but had no idea it was connected to digestive health.

Here is a very interesting article on that subject shared with my by Victoria Cox.

3. The third item is by a chiropractic doctor named Josh Axe.  He wrote a book called
Eat Dirt.  Here is an article from his website you may find interesting.  All the talk in the last several months about using hand sanitizers, in my opinion and research, the alcohol-based hand cleaners are counterproductive as they are creating bacteria that become more resistant to those hand cleaners.

As always, our prayers are with you to find “your” healing path.
