Dear PALS and Caregivers,

We have had so many people contact us who have taken statin drugs and then get ALS.  Obviously not everyone who takes statin drugs gets ALS, but there is some connection.  I think the first to contact us was a medical doctor from Greece.  He had taken statin drugs for about 8 years.  What even doctors don’t realize is that the brain needs cholesterol to function, a good portion of the brain is cholesterol.  In ALS, the myelin sheath is damaged probably from heavy metal poisoning or other factors.  Myelin sheath is cholesterol.  Statin drugs kill glia cells.  Glia cells make myelin sheath.  So perhaps even though not everyone who takes statin drugs will get ALS, what about all those who are developing Alzheimer’s, dementia, MS or even Parkinson’s.  Those are also brain diseases that could be affected by statin drugs and there are vast amounts of people who suffer from those diseases.  I am guessing that the drug companies and the doctors are not going to take any responsibility for the horrid diseases they have hoisted on people around the world for a drug that does not even correct the heart problems they prescribe it for.  Many reports have come out in the last few years about the dangers of statin drugs.

I had heard of Dr. Duane Graveline years ago and his story about taking statin drugs and amnesia events he suffered while on statin drugs, Lipitor specifically.  I had not read his whole story before.  It is worth reading.  Here is the link to his story and his website.

And then you may want to get the book called Poisoned by Dr. Hannah Yoseph to learn how to un-poison yourself from statin drugs.

Prayers for you always,

Kay
