Grounding or earthing - 7 chapters of explanation and benefits
We just started a new therapy for Kim which we hope will help get his feet back in good working order and perhaps relieve his insomnia, his incontinence issue and vertigo.
Grounding or Earthing is a therapy that makes so much sense to me. I had heard about it some time ago. I decided it was time to get going as it may have some value. As soon as we got the grounding mat for Kim's side of the bed and I learned more about it, I realized that I need to ground also.
Grounding will help you sleep better, thin your blood (with thinner blood more oxygen gets delivered to the body), better circulation, reduces or eliminates pain, and reduces inflammation to name just a few of its benefits. Those with ALS and Lyme very often have intense pain. I believe that all PALS likely have big inflammation issues. The literature I read said it will also help with Lyme disease.
When the grounding mat came, it included a book called Earthing and a DVD that is about 1 hour and 20 minutes long. Both contain information that is very powerful about the power and benefits of grounding.
Grounding is putting your body in contact with the earth. Grass, unpainted concrete, dirt, gravel, ceramic tile. The concept is that with all the electricity and wifi we are surrounded by our bodies become too electrically charged with positive electrons. The ground is negative electrons. Our body needs a balance of the two. By grounding, you are balancing the positive with the negative.
How did we get in this state? In the 60s, rubber was created. Now all our shoes have rubber or synthetic soles instead of leather soles, and we are no longer connected to the earth. Plus, the dirty electricity (EMFs) and wifi assaults continue to increase.
Here is a 7 chapter run down on how grounding came to be. I think you will find it interesting.
